FAQ: open cell ceilings grilyato

KRAFT Deckensysteme manufactures several types and modifications of open cell ceilings grilyato. The main types of KRAFT grilyato:
- Classical
- Pyramidal
- Cassette grilyato GLK.

The main differences of types of grilyato:
- Profile configuration. Classic grilyato and grilyato GLK have a U-shaped profile. Pyramidal grilyato has a Y-shaped profile.
- Profile Width. The profile width of classic grilyato is 9 mm, grilyato GLK - 15 mm. Profile width of pyramidal grillato is 9 mm in the narrowest place and 50 mm in the widest.
- Installation method. Classic and pyramidal grilyato are self-supported structures. Grilyato GLK is mounted on a frame made of KRAFT Fortis T-profile. GLK grilyato is the most convenient option for mounting and dismounting the construction (e.g. for technical works with communications in the ceiling space), because the cassettes are easily removed from the construction and mounted back. For dismantling/installation of classic or pyramidal grilyato it is better to invite specialists.

Also popular is grilyato "blinds". Such grilyato has not square, but rectangular cells and can be made on the basis of any type of grilyato: classic, pyramidal, grilyato GLK. 

Grilyato KRAFT is made of galvanized steel 0.23-0.27 mm thick with a polymer coating.

Weight of the grilyato profiles:
- Profile 2400 mm. Classic Grilyato 0.40 kg, Pyramidal Grilyato 0.48 kg.
- Profile 600 mm. Classic grilyato and grilyato GLK - 0,10 kg, Pyramidal grilyato 0,12 kg.
- Grilyato edge profile GLK - 0.05 kg. 

The following number of KRAFT grilyato profiles is included in the package:
- Classic Grilyato. Profiles 2400 mm - 50 pcs. Profiles 600 mm - 200 pcs.
- Pyramidal Grilyato. Profiles 2400 mm - 21 pcs. Profiles 600 mm - 75 pcs.
- Grilyato GLK. End profile - 400 pcs. Profiles 600 mm - 120 pcs. 

All grilyato KRAFT are produced in standard colors: RAL 9003 (white), RAL 9005 (black), RAL 9006 (gray), RAL 7024 (graphite), RAL 8017 (chocolate). Also standard colors include several wood textures. Additionally you can order the painting of the grilyato KRAFT in any color from the RAL scale. 

To calculate the configuration, you need the following information: ceiling area, length of the ceiling perimeter, it is also desirable to have a drawing to understand the complexity of the configuration. It is also necessary to determine the required type of grilyato and the cell size.

You can also calculate the configuration of the ceiling yourself using the tables of ratios. In this case you can find the retail price of the individual grilyato profiles, suspensions and other accessories for the suspended ceiling in the online stores of some of our distributors and calculate the final cost yourself. 

All types of open cell ceilings Kraft are produced at the company's factories in Turkey or Ukraine. When fulfilling orders for grilyato, we choose the most suitable option for the customer, taking into account logistics.

Grilyato price depends on the following factors:
- Type of grilyato. The most budgetary option will be the classic grilyato. Pyramidal grilyato will be more expensive by 10-15%. Cassette grilyato GLK will cost 10-20% more than the pyramidal grilyato due to the bearing framework of the T-profiles KRAFT Fortis.
- Cell size. The smaller the size of the cell, the more expensive will be the chosen type of grilyato. On grilyato with smaller cells more metal is used, and during  manufacturing more technological operations are made.
- Grilyato color. The most economical option is grilyato in standard KRAFT colors. Metal texture, as well as painting in colors other than standard increase the cost of grilyato.

Grilyato can be installed in rooms with complex configuration. But to do this, the grilyato profiles adjacent to the walls must be trimmed to the right size. For trimming grilyato you should use metal scissors. Also non-standard room configuration should be taken into account when calculating the configuration - it is necessary to include additional 10-20% of the material for trimming. 

The most suitable lighting system for Grilyato suspended ceilings is the KRAFT G-Led luminaires, which are our own development. The main advantages of the KRAFT Led lighting system are: low power consumption, possibility of placement anywhere in the ceiling, no additional suspensions, long lifetime. In addition, KRAFT Led luminaires do not require any maintenance during their entire service life. 

Yes, grilyato suspended ceilings can be used in hospitals. Certainly grilyato can be installed in offices, corridors, waiting rooms and other public areas. The choice of grilyato for rooms with high hygienic requirements ( surgeries, manipulation rooms, etc.) should be made in accordance with relevant medical standards. It is worth noting that grilyato suspended ceilings are not subject to corrosion, prevent the reproduction of bacteria and fungus. If the room from time to time requires disinfection, the best choice would be grilyato GLK, as grilyato cassettes are easy to remove and install back without resorting for help from specialists. 

Standard dimensions of the cells: 50x50 mm, 60x60 mm, 75x75 mm, 86x86 mm, 100x100 mm, 120x120 mm, 150x150 mm, 200x200 mm (the pyramidal grilyato are not produced with 50x50 mm and 60x60 mm cells).
When choosing the cell size the main criteria is the transparency of the grilyato. I.e. at normal angle of human vision, the ceiling space should not be visible.

Here is an example. We have classic grilyato with 50x50 mm cell. This size means the distance along the profile axes. And the thickness of the grilyato profile itself is 9 mm. So the inner size of the cell will be: 50 mm - 9 mm = 41 mm. I.e. the inner size of the cell is 41x41 mm. If we take GLK grilyato in this example, its profile thickness is 15 mm. Therefore for GLK grilyato the inner size of the cell is 50 mm - 15 mm = 35 mm. The inner size of the cell is 35x35 mm. From this it can be concluded that the transparency of classic grilyato is 15% higher than that of GLK grilyato. In general the width of pyramidal grilyato at the base is 50 mm, so its transparency is the lowest and in general to assemble a pyramidal grilyato with 50x50 mm cell will not work, because the profiles will bump into each other. Therefore, with all the same other parameters, first of all you should take into account the transparency of grilyato.

For example, if you have chosen the classic grilyato with a cell 120x120 mm, you can replace it with GLK grilyato with a cell 100x100 mm or pyramidal grilyato with a cell 86x86 mm. In all these examples, the transparency of the ceiling will be approximately the same.

There are no contraindications to the installation of suspended ceilings in a private house. The main thing is that such a ceiling should naturally blend in with the general design of the room.

Also grilyato KRAFT can be installed in rooms with high humidity - spas, swimming pools, bathrooms, etc. The steel used in the manufacture of grilyato is galvanized and has a polymer coating - this is reliable protection against corrosion. The main thing is not to damage the protective coating during installation or dismantling the ceiling.

The same applies to the installation of KRAFT grilyato outdoors. Grilliato can be used for terraces, awnings, transitions, entrances and other outdoor structures.

For rooms with a high level of humidity and outdoors, it is preferable to use GLK cassette grilyato - in this case there is less chance of damaging the protective coating during installation/dismantling.
