KRAFT Mesh panels – the perfect choice for ceilings, walls, facades, and partitions

What is expanded metal mesh? It is a material made from a solid metal sheet by cutting openings and then stretching it to the required dimensions. This process creates strong and lightweight diamond-shaped cells without welded seams.

Thanks to its combination of strength, lightness, and aesthetic appeal, expanded metal mesh is widely used not only in construction but also in design. It is used for facade cladding, ceiling and wall panels, partitions, railings, and other decorative and functional elements.

Easy installation, visual appeal, and a variety of colors and cell sizes make expanded metal mesh panels a popular choice for modern projects.

Why choose KRAFT mesh panels for your projects?

міцність
Strength
Metal mesh systems are perfect for impact-resistant infrastructure applications, such as in gyms or railings.
пожежна безпека
Fire safety
Mesh panels are non-combustible and do not obstruct the evacuation of combustion products, which is essential for public spaces.
Вентиляція
Ventilation
The mesh structure does not obstruct ventilation, which is especially important for large spaces and areas.
дизайн
Design
Design possibilities: any RAL color, various cell sizes, and the option to use as individual elements.
Акустика
Acoustics
Mesh panels and cassettes with soundproofing mats provide excellent acoustic performance.
Фасади, стіни, перегородки
Facades, walls, partitions
Mesh panels can be used on building facades, walls, as partitions, or for railings and enclosures.
освітлення
Lighting
The mesh structure allows for the integration of primary or decorative lighting, enhancing the aesthetics of the space.
екологічність
Sustainability
Metal mesh panels and cassettes are made from high-quality steel, which can be fully recycled.

Mesh cell sizes for KRAFT Mesh panels

Expanded metal mesh cells come in various sizes, including width (H) and height (A) of the cell, as well as thickness (K) and height (I) of the metal strand. Different ratios affect permeability, transparency, structural integrity, strength, and the weight of mesh panels.

H - Cell width: The dimension that determines how wide each opening in the mesh is. The width of the openings affects the permeability and overall appearance of the panel.

A - Cell height: The vertical distance from the top to the bottom of the diamond-shaped opening. Like the width, the height of the openings influences the size of objects that can pass through the mesh, as well as the strength and aesthetic appeal.

K - Strand height: This dimension refers to the width of the metal strands that make up the mesh. The width of the metal strands forms the edges (walls) of each cell. The strand width affects the strength and durability of the mesh.

I - Strand thickness: The strand thickness is the thickness of the metal sheet from which the mesh is made. It is measured perpendicular to the plane of the mesh.

Wave effect
As a result of the manufacturing process, the mesh cells have an elongated shape. These elongated cells create a repeating pattern resembling waves oriented along a single axis.

Why consider the wave direction in suspended ceiling panels?
The wave direction determines how visible the space behind the ceiling is. The orientation of the cells affects the perception of the interior and the distribution of light.

How to use?
To conceal utilities – orient the cells to reduce the visibility of technical areas.
For a lightweight visual effect – use a direction that creates an open-space impression.

Types of Mesh-to-Frame Connections

Type İ: Into the frame
This type of connection is used with the following panels: LAY-ON T24, LAY-IN T15, Hook Lock, Mesh Cloud, CLIP-IN.
Type O: Under the frame
This type of connection is used with the following panels: LAY-ON T24, LAY-IN T15, Hook Lock, Mesh Cloud, CLIP-IN.
Type R: To the edge
This type of connection is used only with Hook Lock panels.

KRAFT Mesh Panel mounting systems

KRAFT Deckensysteme produces four basic types of mesh panels, which differ in their fastening system
LAY-ON Т24, LAY-IN Т15

LAY-ON Т24, LAY-IN Т15

Lay-On and Lay-In panels are installed in a ceiling system made of KRAFT Fortis profiles with a width of 15 or 24 mm. In the Lay-On system, the bottom surface of the panels is level with the supporting profiles, while in the Lay-In system, it is positioned below the level of the T-profiles.
